Mailing Saljic, Mladic lawyer, said his client's trial be shortened due to the weak condition that trouble communicating. "He's aware under arrest, knew where he was, and he claimed not recognize the Hague tribunal," said Saljic.
Belgrade Radio B-92 mention one hand Mladic has been paralyzed, which is likely due to a stroke.
Extradition is expected to take a week, after that Mladic was brought to The Hague, where he faces charges of life imprisonment. The UN court has no death penalty.
