New Type of Shark Found Successful

A recent study conducted by scientific institutions from the United States (U.S.) managed to find approximately 300 new species of animals and plants in the Philippines, including a new shark species that can develop his body.

California Academy of Sciences said that they had found more than 300 new species of animals and plants, the sea and land expeditions are carried out for 42 days in the Philippines. Similarly, as quoted by AFP

"The Philippines is one of the best places to look for biodiversity on Earth," writes Terrence Gosliner, expedition leader, said in a posting on the site California Academy of Sciences

"Keankeragaman biodiversity here is still too unknown, and we discover new species every time an expedition in the country. Whether it's on the reef and in the woods," he added.

The discovery of this expedition's most interesting is the deep-sea shark that can raise its size by filling his stomach with water. This they did in order to frighten their enemies. There was also a kind of starfish that eat only driftwood.

Until now, the expedition was still studying the samples already collected, and compare it to existing scientific literature. "For the exact number will be announced within the next few months," said the scientists.

The scientists involved said that the expedition was to prove that the Philippines is one of the richest biodiversity on Earth.
