Guinness World Records had previously recorded the longest kiss for couples NikolaMatovic and Kristina Reinhart in Germany, in February 2009 with a record time of 32 hours, 7 minutes and 14 seconds.

No half-hearted, this record was broken by Valentine couples from Thailand namedPreedi Singhajan (37th) and her partner Rungnapa Rojananawin (51th), in an event heldto welcome Valentine's Day, February 14, 2011, in Oceanside shopping center ofPattaya.
